At Bookkeeping Plus, our bookkeepers work only 40 hours per week.

 

No income tax work.  Bookkeeping Plus is not a CPA firm.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

DUTIES

Full-Cycle Bookkeeping

  • Deposits and Accounts Receivable

  • Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations

  • General Ledger

  • Journal Entries

  • Financial Statements and Reports

  • Special Projects

Accounts Payable

  • Bills and Accounts Payable

  • EFT Vouchers

  • Purchase Orders

  • Write Checks

  • Maintain Vendor Records

  • Form 1099s (year-end)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Accounting classes beyond high school (or equivalent experience)

Must-have Experience:

  • Five years in a bookkeeping position

  • Great attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate well

Nice-to-have Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • Experience with a nonprofit organization or school

  • Accrual basis

  • Posting payroll entries

Software:

  • QuickBooks, Excel, and the ability to learn new applications
